The contest “What does education mean to me?” deadline for submissions is extended until the end of January. There are some excellent prizes for students and adults.

We learned last year that seniors in Canada — those 65 and older — now outnumber those 14 or younger. This is part of a global trend, with the number of people over the age of 60 approaching a billion. We are living longer because of improved nutrition, sanitation, health care, education and improving economic security.
